Biology

Hitmontop is one of Tyrogue's evolutions. It can spin on its head like a top.

Design & origin

Hitmontop's fighting style is based on the style of capoeira. Its name comes from the words "hit", "mon", and "top". In an earlier version of Gold and Silver, Hitmontop originally had three feet as well as a third eye.
