Biology

Kingdra is a seahorse-like Pokémon and the evolution of Seadra. It is primarily blue in color; it is depicted with leaf-like fins and a long snout. Kingdra typically sleeps on the sea floor, awakening during storms to search for prey.

Design & origin

Kingdra is likely based on Phyllopteryx taeniolatus, also known as the common seadragon. Its name is a portmanteau of "king" and "dragon".
