Biology

Remoraid has a mutualistic relationship with the manta ray Pokémon Mantine, clinging onto the underside of Mantine. Remoraid evolves into Octillery, which resembles an octopus.

Design & origin

Remoraid is based on a remora fish, and resembles a gun, while its evolution Octillery resembles a tank. Remoraid's English name comes from the words "remora" and "raid".
