Biology

Dugtrio, the evolved form of Diglett, is a composition of three Diglett put together, having three sets of eyes and noses. Its expression is either angry or similar to Diglett's. Dugtrio continues to remain in the ground, and can burrow at a speed of 60 miles per hour, and up to 60 miles underground.

Like Diglett, no one has ever seen its full body. Occasionally, its heads will fight over which head gets to eat first.

Design & origin

Like Diglett, Dugtrio has a simplistic design.

Each of Alolan Dugtrio's heads has a different gold hairstyle, resembling blonde-haired wigs, made from Pele's hair, "glassy strands of cooled lava" carried on the wind that snag on it. The hair is said to be dazzling.

Alolan Dugtrio is revered as an incarnation of the god of the land in Alola, and natives will often bow and kneel in its presence.
