Biology

Dracozolt is a Fossil Pokémon that can be made out of the Fossilized Bird and Fossilized Drake. It was almost unbeatable in its time thanks to its powerful, strong legs in the lower half of its body, although the top was entirely too small in size. Like Dracovish, it is said to have running abilities, but is too effective in its "natural" environment as a result.

While it can generate electricity in the muscles in its tail, its depletion of its plant-food resources caused its own extinction.

Design & origin

Dracozolt is one of four Fossil Pokémon seemingly based on the Crystal Palace Dinosaurs, a collection of misassembled dinosaur sculptures on display in London's Crystal Palace Park; the quartet are composed of pairs of parts haphazardly put together. Other aspects of the creatures appear to be based on hoaxes and paleontological forgeries such as Charles Dawson's Piltdown Man.

The various Fossils appear to be based on different types of dinosaurs, such as the stegosaurus, paravians, and dunkleosteus.
