According to legend, Regigigas pulled landmasses together and bound them with rope to create the continent of Hisui. Though I have my doubts, the story could well contain a shred of truth.

Biology
There is an enduring legend about how Regigigas towed the continents together with just rope. It created smaller versions of itself out of clay (Regirock), a special ice mountain (Regice), magma (Registeel), electrons (Regieleki), and dragon energy (Regidrago), and is the master of Regirock, Regice, and Registeel. Like all Regis, it is sealed away, and it has a long period of dormancy.
