Pokémon Monomyth, Pokopia and a better way around

  • Pokémon Monomyth: the free fan game's own Pokédex under /monomyth/, with its new Pokémon, starters, coats, moves, abilities, TMs, items, locations and trainers. The damage calc can use Monomyth's rules, and the battle sim can rehearse a boss's team. DexDB links to the team's site and hosts no game files.
  • Menus: the header's Browse menu now groups the pages in columns for competitive play, reference and other games, and Monomyth has a menu of its own. On phones the same pages sit in a strip along the header, with More for the rest.
  • Learn, this changelog and Corrections join the site.
  • Pokopia: a page for each Pokémon in the game, its habitats, specialties, favourites, areas, characters and what they say, with filters.
  • New: Speed tiers for every Champions Pokémon at /champions/speed/, and a Start here page for new Champions players.
  • Search now finds glossary terms, the site's pages, Pokopia characters and nicknames, with a label over each kind of result.
  • Calc: Simple and Advanced modes, a short guide at the top, what would change a result, and the 1v1 plans now play out binding moves, Leech Seed, Curse, confusion, infatuation and Yawn.
  • Pokémon pages lead with weaknesses and Speed, and the home page has start tiles and an even Most used grid.

Tournaments, the battle sim and Pokémon biology

  • Tournaments at /champions/tournaments/: official Champions VGC events and their top cuts, each player's exact team on hover and in full. Event facts come from Liquipedia and teams from Victory Road, both credited.
  • Battle simulator (beta) at /sim/: Showdown's battle engine with the Champions rules, an Arena view, move animations and a bot to rehearse against.
  • Biology written for DexDB for all 231 Pokémon usable in Champions.
  • Calc: stage steppers from -6 to +6, a Fewest SP button to outspeed, survive or KO, a Worth row, and tournament teams to load.
  • Higher-resolution item icons, and short links for shared teams.

Calc, team builder v2 and regulations

  • Damage calc at /calc/ for Pokémon Champions and Scarlet & Violet, with a 2v2 board, combos and a spread finder.
  • Team builder v2: undo and redo, one-tap Add to team, smart fixes for each check, Stat Point sliders and exports for Showdown and Discord.
  • Regulations: a page for each regulation at /champions/regulations/, with the dates and what changed, and a badge for the regulation each change came in.
  • Champions data: Showdown rating levels, usage over time, period pickers, Mega movers, and a usage source setting that can hide Showdown.
  • Move properties on every move (contact, sound, punching, priority and the rest), with the abilities and items that care, at /moves/groups/.
  • Legends: Arceus and Legends: Z-A move data in the game picker, and a page for each Gigantamax form.
  • The Pokédex voice reads every name and entry. Meta at a glance at /meta/.
  • Header: a floating red capsule; on phones the pages sit in a strip along it, with no bottom bar. A true-black theme was added.

DexDB begins

  • The site renamed to DexDB and moved to dexdb.io, rebuilt daily.
  • Pokédex pages for every Pokémon, with its own pages for Megas and regional forms; hubs for moves, items and abilities with Champions legality and changes.
  • Pokémon Champions rankings with the in-game ladder and Smogon's Showdown stats side by side, each number labelled with its source.
  • Team builder, type pages with a type chart and weakness calculator, category pages, a glossary and Where our data comes from.
  • Hover cards on names, and one filter bar for every list.
